Jesus wore a crown of thorns so that we can wear a crown of roses. For the Lord is the King of the Universe & The Prince of Peace - as such we are heirs as HIS precious children.
The purpose of this website is to be an instrumental source of Christ’s divine mercy and perfect peace over our bodies, minds and souls. It was created prayerfully to encourage, inspire and provide resources to all souls who are in search of spiritual development.
Through Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice on the cross - He lovingly invites all suffering souls to be just be held; to embrace his tender mercies and loving kindness each day; to learn how to make daily surrender an opportunity to fall in love with falling into the unfailing arms of Jesus. For the sake of Christ’s sorrowful passion…all souls can transform pain into purpose; long suffering into service; frustration into education; leading into serving; and darkness into light.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace
where there is hatred, let me show your love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in forgiving that we are forgiven and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life with YOU.

A Servant’s Story
Natasha Duran serves as the founder of The Instrumental Servant. Her passion for serving suffering souls is inspired by her own health challenges in battling Systemic Lupus. For over a decade, she has experienced firsthand the agonizing pain of organ failure; years of ongoing infusion treatments; surgeries and countless procedures. Slowly and painfully brought to deeper pain and suffering as the disease continues to worsen year after year - day after day. Hospitalizations and home bond days more frequent than good ones led Natasha to a place of complete surrender in the arms of Christ. This year specifically has been her most challenging physically but most powerful spiritually.
This is only made possible through Jesus’ divine mercy. It is at the foot of Cross, that she found beauty in surrender. From the pierced side of Jesus that the fountain of mercy gushed forth over Natasha healing her soul - in spite of the body. She learned quickly that this surrender was not a one time encounter with Christ but rather a daily practice. While daily surrender is not easy - over time and with the use of the resources shared on this website - she learned how to fall in love with falling in the arms of her Divine Physician. From type A perfectionist to now a daily survivalist, she was stripped of all daily striving and called into daily surrender. While the PAIN continues to rage war within her body each day - the PEACE that surpasses all understanding guards her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Her identity, mission and story are all one in the same - she is a humble servant of the Lord but also a child of God. Jesus wore a crown of thorns so that we could wear HIS crown of roses and HIS sons and daughters. It is this reality that she hopes to remind all souls of what Jesus' perfect sacrifice proposes. A life of mercy - A life of grace in loving the Lord fully and serving his entire human race.

THE CHOSEN
One of the most transformational resources I have ever experienced has been that of “The Chosen”. It is the first multi-season series about the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. This series beautifully captures the humanity, divine love and even humor of Jesus and his disciples. The brokenness of His very own followers is so relatable to our present day sufferings. This series has been a FREE life saving gift to nearly 1 Billion souls around the world - the mission of the “Come & See Foundation”. I simply consume every episode over and over as I “binge Jesus”. I study The Chosen App for its powerful round tables with historians, priests and rabbis to dive deeper into the history, context and understanding of the Gospels. I share clips, insights and content from this series with everyone in hopes it will heal lives like it has done for me. “People must know…”
I have always had a deep & personal love story with Jesus but this show has brought the Bible to life before my very eyes. Every scene - from sadness to healing - is dripping with Christ’s loving mercy. The Chosen is not to replace the Bible - it is designed to lead us back to the Gospels with a more vivid realization of the authentic relationship Jesus desires to cherish with us all. “The Chosen” has brought the Gospel to life for me when I’m confined to the hospital, infusions center or my own bed suffering in pain but consuming the love of Christ in each scene that takes the focus off me and places my attention on my Divine Physician. It makes reading the Gospels new again with the visualization of Biblical characters as real people, with real problems, and real relationships with “THE INSTRUMENTAL SERVANT” - JESUS. Some scenes I watch weekly to help me through my deepest moments of pain - from Jesus' heart-filled scene with Little James regarding why he has NOT been healed to the faith empowering scene of the healing of Veronica - it makes it possible for us to see ourselves and renew our hope and mission.
The Holy Spirit continues to direct Dallas & Amanda Jenkins, Ryan Swanson and Tyler Thompson, Johnathan Roumie and the entire cast & crew in their calling to serve the Lord & His lambs through “The Chosen.” I am eternally grateful for their selfless sacrifice and prayerful service to the world. Attending ChosenCon a few months ago was like participating in a spiritual retreat on fire for Jesus. The story of Christ’s passion is the greatest love story ever told and in watching “The Chosen” I have experienced that love story in a visually & spiritually captivating way.

It is only through the development and use of my own spiritual board of directors that I continue to grow in a season of deep anguish and long suffering. SPIRITUAL SOAKINGS
Most of us are captivated by the gift of song or poetic spoken word. From their strumbled instruments to their powerful messages - music has this transcendent ability to pierce our heart while healing our soul. I have found that when I simply am too weak to pray out loud - I simply soak in songs. I allow the lyrics to be my prayer. When my body is riddled in pain, I literally soak in songs by stilling myself in an epsom salt bath while listening to scripture soaking and/or Christian songs. Many times the peace and power of scriptures overcomes the pain…even for just a moment.
